Vernon Francois

Picture your average, run of the mill TV, celebrity stylist. Now scrap that image and get ready for the new breed of stylist... the 'casually fabulous' Vernon François.

After a stint on WAG's boutique he landed a slot with Colleen McLoughlin on "Real Women" for ITV2. Vernon's appointment book reads like the 'spotted' pages in Heat Magazine. He's tended the tresses of Victoria Silvstedt, Matthew Horne, James Corden, Dame Kelly Holmes, Beverley Knight, Keyshia Cole, Javine, Mr H (of Mr. Hudson and the Library), Jaye Jacobs, Jade Ewen, Leah Charles, Melanie Fiona, Gabriella Cilmi, Miquita Oliver, Escala and is currently working with the singer VV Brown. Vernon has fixed the extension disasters of too many reality stars to mention.

In fact celebrities, It Girls and the media alike are all vying for the attention and bespoke services of Vernon. He's renowned for crimping and preening A listers backstage at the BAFTA and MOBO awards.

Vernon was also the new face of Anna Lou of London and worked closely with Anna on their creative vision.

One of five boys, Vernon was raised in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Born of mixed Caribbean heritage he always stood out wherever he went, not just because of his unique, naturally flame red-coloured hair but also due to his natural artistic flair. He discovered his passion for hair at a very early age and stayed true to his calling and pursuing a career in hair styling.

At the tender age of seventeen Vernon began working at the prestigious Desmond Murray salon. Vernon's hard work and signature styling soon went on to win him countless awards including Black Beauty Newcomer of the year and Black Hair Magazine's Junior Hairstylist as well as finalist for the coveted WAHL Hair Awards Southern stylist of the year. Vernon was recognised and highly commended in Apprentice of the Year by the LSC in 2005.

Arguably the youngest celebrity hairstylist in the business his work is influenced by his ethnic roots, his sharp eye for trends and his highly respected mentors Vidal Sassoon and Patrick Cameron.

It's not easy to describe Vernon's striking creations, but let's go for geometrically avant-garde with a sense of daily practicality. His work is about taking the hair where it wants to go, needs to go and where it's never been before while keeping it structured and bang on trend.

Vernon now takes his expertise into mainland Europe and is serving clients in Oslo, Amsterdam, Prague and New York. There are no limits in the creative abilities and he never seems to run out of ideas and thrives on ever-changing looks, reflected in his own personal sense of style. Vernon's expertise also goes much further than just hair. His all round styling skills and ability to create a complete look from "head to toe" have been put to good use in publications like iD, InStyle, Marie Claire, Colures and Pride.

However, Vernon is not be mistaken as just being all about celebrities! He has a fiercely loyal clientele of "real women" and today he can be found working at a top central London salon giving expert hair advice, a full in-depth consultation and contemporary style suggestions. Vernon's creative flair ensures that all his clients leave the salon feeling like a million bucks or as Vernon would say 'casually fabulous...'.
